Description

Self-Launch is a 4h booking slot in which you can launch your own craft at the Lower Lliw Reservoir. The price is £10 per craft.

Permitted craft are SUP’s, Sit-On Kayaks, Canoes & Closed Cockpit Kayaks. No inflatable kayaks allowed.

FOR SUP YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHOW US THAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF FALLING IN THE WATER AND GETTING BACK ON AGAIN AT THE START OF YOUR SESSION.

If you are unable to book a first visit even though spaces are left it is because first-visit/orientation spaces are full.

CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE WATER.

During your first self launch visit you will be required to attend and complete an orientation and assessment in your chosen craft. Details of this can be found at the following link – https://swanseaadventures.com/self-launching/

Please note that everyone wishing to self-launch must attend and pass the orientation and assessment. Please also note that there is only one permissible access point to the water. As there is limited space we permit a maximum of 2 swaps between people during a self launch session, there is also nowhere for craft to go if you decide to take a break from paddling. All craft that are not in the process of being launched or on the water must be removed from the launching area.
